Abstract
Title: Generative AI and Emerging Cybersecurity Challenges
Abstract: As organizations increasingly adopt Generative AI and AI agents to automate business flows, they face security risks that traditional application security practices may not fully address. AI agents can access sensitive information, interact with enterprise APIs, and execute tasks with limited human involvement, which can introduce opportunities for cyberattacks.
This session examines key security challenges, including prompt injection, misuse of AI tools, RAG data poisoning, unauthorized access, and exposure of sensitive business information. It also discusses practical ways to address these risks through zero-trust principles, agent identity management, access controls, secure API interactions, and continuous monitoring.
Drawing on enterprise architecture and DevSecOps practices, the presentation will explore how organizations can build security into AI applications from the beginning rather than addressing vulnerabilities after deployment. The goal is to share practical approaches that help organizations adopt agentic AI while maintaining control over security, data access, and business operations.
