1. Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to support a conference environment where all participants can engage in learning, discussion, networking, and scientific exchange free from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and disruptive behavior.
2. Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to:

- Workshops
- Panel discussions
- Networking spaces
- Poster sessions
- Exhibition areas
- Conference social events
- Official communication channels
- Event-related social media interactions
- Direct electronic communication related to the event
3. Expected Behavior
- Behave professionally and respectfully.
- Treat others with dignity and consideration.
- Communicate thoughtfully and constructively.
- Respect differing viewpoints and academic discussion.
- Respect personal boundaries and cultural differences.
- Follow venue rules and organizer instructions.
- Respect confidentiality and intellectual property.
4. Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassment, bullying, stalking or intimidation.
- Discriminatory or offensive comments.
- Offensive verbal, written or visual material.
- Unwelcome sexual attention.
- Threats or abusive behavior.
- Repeated unwanted communication.
- Disrupting conference sessions.
- Unauthorized photography or recording.
- Misuse of participant information.
- Retaliation against anyone reporting concerns.
5. Respect for Scientific Content & Intellectual Property
Unless explicitly permitted:
- Do not record presentations.
- Do not photograph restricted slides.
- Do not reproduce presentation materials.
- Do not distribute unpublished conference content.
6. Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code, report it immediately to a KYNEXA organizer or designated contact.
Where possible include:
- Name of the person involved.
- Description of the incident.
- Date, time and location.
- Witness names (if available).
- Screenshots or supporting documentation.
7. Organizer Response
KYNEXA may take actions including:
- Speaking with the parties involved.
- Issuing warnings.
- Restricting access to sessions.
- Removing a participant from the event.
- Ending talks or online sessions.
- Notifying institutions or employers where appropriate.
- Contacting venue security or legal authorities.
8. No Refund in Cases of Removal
Participants removed from the conference for violating this Code of Conduct may forfeit registration fees and may not be eligible for a refund.
9. Confidentiality & Good-Faith Reporting
KYNEXA will make reasonable efforts to handle reports confidentially where possible. Participants are expected to report concerns honestly and in good faith.
10. Retaliation Prohibited
Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern, participates in an investigation, or supports an affected participant is itself a violation of this Code.
11. Updates
KYNEXA may revise this Code of Conduct from time to time. The latest version published on the website will apply unless otherwise stated.
